Vein Treatment
Facial veins can cause uncomfortable heat and flushing as well embarrassing redness. Contrary to common belief, exposure to UV light, not alcohol, is the cause of that meshwork of fine veins across the cheek or nose. Single spider veins are usually due to a connection developing between a low pressure vein and a high pressure artery under the skin. The veins are expanded by the high pressure arterial blood.
Both are these problems are best treated with a laser such as our Coolglide. We see many patients who have tried to treat these with IPL with pretty much no improvement. IPL is a good treatment for the sort of red blushing you see on a 16 year old but if you can see little veins it's a laser you need.
