The body's most potent and effective moisturiser is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a natural carbohydrate that makes up 20% of the skin. It sits around the skin cells and structures, drawing in water and swelling like a sponge. That swelling plumps up fine lines.
HA has been around for a while but a byproduct of HA dermal filler production is the ability to make pure HA serum for topical application to the skin. This is HA in it's most potent form. It may cause too much swelling for some and be careful around the eyes as it may cause puffiness.
